FAW presence at the Eisteddfod Garreg Las

The Football Association of Wales will have a strong presence at this year’s National Eisteddfod with a stall and various guest visitors throughout the week.

The National Eisteddfod (Eisteddfod y Garreg Las) will be taking place near Llantwd in north Pembrokeshire between 1-8 August. The National Eisteddfod is Europe’s largest annual cultural festival, celebrating the Welsh language, music, poetry, and arts.

The FAW’s stall will be located on spots 912-913 and will promote all things Welsh football with free gifts and handouts available for children and adults.

The stall will also sell an exclusive t-shirt only on sale at the National Eisteddfod as well as tote bags, bucket hats and other items including the Novira Cymru Premier 2026/27 season preview.

Several special guests related to Welsh football will be visiting the Maes and the FAW’s stall during the week, and the Novira Cymru Premier trophy will also be at the stall all week for fans to take selfies with.

On Monday 3 August (time TBC) Haverfordwest County players will be in attendance to meet fans of the Novira Cymru Premier.

Cymru Women’s National Team Head Coach Rhian Wilkinson will be visiting the Maes on Wednesday 5 August and will be meeting fans at the FAW’s stall between 10am-2pm.

On Friday 7 August Cymru Captain Angharad James and former international and star of EURO 2016 Joe Allen will be honoured by Gorsedd Cymru for their achievements in football and for promoting the Welsh language.

These honours, presented annually, recognise individuals from all parts of the country for their achievements and their commitment to Wales, our language and their local communities across the whole of Wales.
