The Cymru MU17s and MU19s sides have discovered their opponents for the first round of the 2024/25 UEFA EURO qualifiers.
MU17s
Craig Knight’s side will face Italy, Norway, and San Marino in Round 1 Group 9. The matches will be played as a one-venue mini-tournament between 1 July and 19 November, and the hosts will be confirmed in due course.
Following Round 1, the top two teams in the group will qualify to take part in Round 2 League A, with the remainder going into League B.
In order to reach the eight-team 2025 final tournament in Albania, the seven Round 2 League A group winners will qualify to join the hosts in the final tournament. MU19s
Rob Edwards’ side will face France, Scotland and Liechtenstein in Group 5 of the Qualifying Round. The matches will be played as a mini-tournament in Scotland during the window of 11-19 November.
The top two teams in each group and the best third-placed team will join Portugal in the elite round in spring. The seven elite round group winners will join hosts Romania in the summer finals. A full explainer of the format is available here.
