Admiral and FAW growing the game for her with Ready to Play programme

Admiral and the Football Association of Wales are joining forces to launch the new Ready To Play programme.

The ethos of this exciting collaboration is Growing the Game, for Her and it will celebrate the success of girls’ football across Wales, driving its growth by increasing participation and inspiring future generations.

Each week for a year, a girls’ football team in Wales will be nominated to receive £200 to invest in equipment, enabling the players to pursue their passion for the game.

Then they will benefit from the exposure of being shared on the FAW and Admiral digital platforms.

Lorna, Connelly, Admiral Head of People, said: “The rise in women’s football has been so exciting to see, and to now be a part of its continued growth in Wales is such a privilege.

“We’re passionate about supporting our local communities, and Ready to Play embodies this by creating opportunities for girls’ football across the country to receive new kit, new equipment, or anything else that’ll help them to keep playing at their best.”

Football Association of Wales CEO Noel Mooney said: “This partnership with Admiral is an important step towards that goal and we are excited to see the impact it will have on the girls’ football community in Wales.

“The program will not only provide funding for girls’ football teams, but it will also offer a platform for inspiration and empowerment. “The organisations aim to inspire girls to be their best selves and to encourage them to pursue their dreams, no matter what they may be.”
