Alex Ramsay appointed Head of National Goalkeeping

The Football Association of Wales has appointed Alex Ramsay as Head of National Goalkeeping.

Ramsay’s responsibilities include identifying talented male and female goalkeepers, in addition to developing a goalkeeper pathway curriculum and delivering elite goalkeeper courses.

On this appointment, Dr David Adams, Chief Football Officer said: “I am delighted to welcome Alex to the team. His experience of developing goalkeepers, combined with his expertise in identifying talent will be integral elements of how Alex can support the development of male and female goalkeepers in the future.”

Ramsay’s previous role was as Scouting Manager at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. He is also very well known within Welsh domestic football having made over 200 appearances in the JD Cymru Premier and was a Cymru C international.
