Charlotte Carpenter has been appointed as the referee for the 2025 Bute Energy Welsh Cup Final between Wrexham and Cardiff City.
Carpenter will be assisted by Michelle Portelli and Katie Hannah, while Dale Randall is Fourth Official.
It will be the first time that Carpenter will referee the final of the competition since 2022, while she was Fourth Official for last season’s game at Rodney Parade. The 36-year-old, who became the first woman from Wales to become an International Referee in 2016, has been a regular in the Genero Adran Premier this season.
Portelli became a FIFA match official in January 2024 and is an Assistant Referee for the final for the second consecutive season, while she also held the same role in this year’s Genero Adran Trophy Final.
Hannah, another experienced campaigner in the Genero Adran Premier and JD Cymru North, returns to the Bute Energy Welsh Cup Final after also being Assistant Referee in the 2023 showpiece.
Fourth Official Randall has established himself as a regular in the Genero Adran Premier in recent years. This is his first Bute Energy Welsh Cup Final appointment after also being Fourth Official in last season’s Genero Adran Trophy Final.
