The qualifying round draws for the Bute Energy Welsh Cup and Bute Energy U16s Cup were made today (4 August) and were featured on the FAW Cup Draw Show that was streamed on RedWall+.

Thirty clubs take part in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup at this stage of the competition with 17 clubs being allocated byes in the qualifying round. This includes the 8 Genero Adran Premier clubs and the 9 highest ranked Genero Adran North & South clubs based on their results from the 2022/23 season.
The qualifying round of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup will take place on 17 September 2023.
In the Bute Energy U16s Cup, 16 clubs take part in the qualifying round stage. Eight clubs were allocated byes, which were determined as follows – the two semi-finalists (Barry Town United and Henllan) from 2022 / 2023 that have entered the competition this season and 6 byes from the remaining clubs determined by this draw.
The qualifying round of the Bute Energy U16s Cup will take place on 3 September 2023.
