Cymru squad announced for EURO 2024 play-offs path

Rob Page has announced his squad of 28 players for Cymru’s UEFA EURO 2024 play-off path matches, which begin with a game against Finland on Thursday 21 March at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Cymru captain Aaron Ramsey has been called up after missing out on matches in October and November due to injury. Several key players have seen an increase in game time at club level following moves in January, and Rob Page has called up Rubin Colwill, Joe Low and Charlie Savage from the U21s to provide strength in depth as Cymru look to reach their third UEFA EURO finals in a row.

Ethan Ampadu and Daniel James are in line to win their 50th Cymru caps during the window, while Rabbi Matondo and Dylan Levitt return to the squad following injuries.

Two wins in the play-off path will guarantee Cymru’s place in this summer’s UEFA EURO 2024 finals in Germany. A win against Finland will set up a final against the winners of the path’s other semi-final between Estonia or Poland, with the unsuccessful teams of both matches also playing each other. The second match will take place on Tuesday 26 March in front of The Red Wall at the Cardiff City Stadium.
