Rob Page has announced a 25-player squad for Cymru’s matches against Gibraltar in the Algarve, Portugal (Thursday 6 June) and Slovakia in Trnava (Sunday 9 June).
Fin Stevens, Charlie Crew and Lewis Koumas have received their first call-ups. Full-back Stevens has been capped 17 times at U21 level and recently experienced promotion success with Oxford United in the EFL League One play-off final, while midfielder Charlie Crew captained Cymru at last year’s UEFA U17 EURO finals. Liverpool forward Lewis Koumas made his senior club debut in February, scoring in an English FA Cup win against Southampton.
Page will see the matches as an opportunity for younger squad members to gain valuable experience ahead of the UEFA Nations League campaign which gets underway in September, where Cymru will face Iceland, Türkiye and Montenegro. Cymru last faced Gibraltar in October in a 4-0 win at the Stōk Cae Ras in Wrexham with a side featuring four debutants, whilst the last match against Slovakia also took place in Trnava, where Kieffer Moore scored in a 1-1 draw.
