Cymru U21 squad announced for March friendlies

Matty Jones has announced his Cymru U21 squad for the friendly double-header against Andorra and Sweden in Spain.

Jones has named a 21-player squad for the first camp of the year as Cymru head to Valencia. The first game against Andorra will take place on Thursday 20 March (11am GMT) before the clash with Sweden three days later on Sunday 23 March (1pm GMT).

Evan Watts, Joel Cotterill, Cian Ashford and Luke Harris were among those who played a key part in Cymru’s 2025 UEFA U21 EURO qualifying campaign and are named in the squad.

There are eight others who have already made their U21 bows included in the squad, while 11 players could be handed their debuts in the March window.

The fixtures, which will be played at Oliva Nova Sports Center, will aid preparations for Cymru’s 2027 UEFA U21 EURO qualifying campaign.

Cymru will kick off their qualifying campaign with a home fixture against the top seeds in Group I Denmark on Monday 8 September 2025.
