Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy final to be held at Latham Park

Latham Park in Newtown will host this season’s Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy final between Newport City and Penrhyncoch.

The final will take place on Saturday 20 April, with kick-off at 12:30pm.

It promises to be an enthralling contest in mid Wales, with both clubs enjoying impressive seasons and pushing for promotion to the second tier.

Newport City are currently third in the Ardal South East and have won their last 11 matches in all competitions – including a thrilling 4-3 victory over Cefn Cribwr in the semi-final of the Dragon Signs Amateur Trophy.

Meanwhile, Penrhyncoch are 14 points clear at the top of the Ardal North East and defeated Ardal South East leaders and current holders of this competition Trethomas Bluebirds in the semi-final.

Tickets for the final will be cash only on the gate, costing £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. A ticket will also grant spectators access to the Welsh Blood Service League Cup national final at Latham Park later in the day.

For the second consecutive season, the FAW is also pleased to confirm that the final will be available to watch live for free on RedWall+.
