The draw for the First Round of the FAW Girls’ Cup has taken place at FAW HQ with matches to take place on Sunday, 25 September 2022.
Following a decision of the National Cup Board the competition is now a straight-knockout format.
Due to the number of entrants in this season’s competition (34), the first round will consist of two matches, one in the North and one in the South.
Clubs who reached the semi-finals of last seasons’ Girls’ Cup were given automatic byes, with the remaining teams were put into the draw for their respective area and the first two drawn were those selected to take part in the opening fixture weekend. All other teams were given a bye as per the outcome of the draw.
