The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has announced a new long-term partnership with Castell Howell Foods, which joins the FAW as its Official Food Wholesale Partner.

As one of the UK’s leading independent foodservice wholesalers, Castell Howell has built a reputation for exceptional service, long-term partnerships and championing Welsh food and drink. As a family-run business with deep farming roots, the company is also committed to supporting grassroots sport, healthy eating initiatives and communities across Wales.

The partnership brings together two organisations that share a commitment to supporting communities across Wales, promoting healthier lifestyles and creating opportunities through football. Together, the FAW and Castell Howell will work on a range of initiatives that deliver lasting benefits for Welsh football and local communities.

By combining Castell Howell’s expertise in providing nutritious food to schools, hospitals and public sector organisations with the FAW’s ability to inspire people through football, the partnership aims to encourage positive choices around nutrition, physical activity and overall wellbeing.

Noel Mooney, Chief Executive of the Football Association of Wales, said: “We are delighted to welcome Castell Howell as our Official Food Wholesale Partner.

“This partnership is about much more than food. It brings together two organisations that share a genuine commitment to improving lives in communities across Wales. Together, we want to encourage healthier lifestyles, support grassroots football and create opportunities that have a lasting positive impact.

“Castell Howell has an outstanding reputation as a proudly Welsh business that invests in people, communities and local producers. Their values align closely with ours, and we look forward to working together on a number of exciting initiatives in the years ahead.”

Matt Lewis, Managing Director of Castell Howell Foods, said: “As a proud Welsh business, partnering with the Football Association of Wales is an exciting opportunity for us. Our business has always been built around people, relationships and a strong sense of community, values that are very much at the heart of this partnership.

“Through our shared passion for championing healthy eating and exercise, there are no limits as to what can be achieved together and we look forward to creating opportunities that leave a lasting legacy.”

The partnership marks the beginning of a ongoing collaboration between the FAW and Castell Howell, with both organisations committed to delivering initiatives that make a positive difference to communities across Wales while supporting the continued growth of Welsh football.
