Morriston Town goalkeeper Steven Cann has been selected as the Player of the Round for the JD Welsh Cup Round Two.
The veteran shot stopper was the penalty shootout hero as Morriston – of the Ardal South West – caused a shock by knocking out JD Cymru South side Llantwit Major on their own patch.
Following a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes, in which the Major equalised deep into stoppage time, Cann saved four spot-kicks in the shootout while also scoring one of his own as Morriston won 6-5 from 12 yards.
Morriston Town will make the short trip to Cann’s former side Afan Lido in Round Three on Friday 15 November as they target another cup shock.
