MU18 squad confirmed for EURO qualifiers

Jon Grey has announced a 20-player squad for the first round of the 2026/27 MU19 EURO qualifiers in Switzerland next week.

The competition for a place in next season’s EURO finals starts earlier than usual, with Grey’s MU18 squad starting their campaign during the March international window.

From this edition, MU19 EURO qualifying will be played in three rounds. Round 1, played in spring, will begin in leagues set by Round 2 of the MU17 EURO two seasons before, and decide promotion and relegation ahead of round 2 in the autumn, which will be followed by Round 3 the following spring that decides the seven teams joining the hosts in the summer finals.

For Round 1 Cymru have been drawn in Group A7 and will start the campaign against France at the Stade de le Fontenette in Carouge, Switzerland on Wednesday 25 March (KO 6:30pm GMT). The second match will again be at the Stade de le Fontenette against the hosts Switzerland on Saturday 28 March (KO 5pm GMT), before the final match against Hungary at the Stade de Copet in Vevey on Tuesday 31 March (KO 5:30pm BST).

Teams ranked first, second and third in League A remain in League A for Round 2. All fourth-placed teams in League A are relegated to League B for Round 2.
