NSPCC’s Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) is proud to support NSPCC’s ‘Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week’ campaign which is taking place across 7-11 October 2024. This campaign calls on sports and activity groups across the UK to participate and prioritise the safeguarding of children and young people.

The campaign, which is spearheaded by the Child Protection in Sport Unit, raises awareness about safeguarding practices in sports and activities across the UK. The initiative strives to help clubs foster strong, trust-based relationships with parents, carers, and children, bringing them together to build a safeguarding community to keep children and young people safe.

Cymru Manager Rhian Wilkinson said: “Football has given me so much, and my childhood club and my first experience there, is where it all begun.  As such, I’m proud to support the NSPCC’s ‘Keeping your Child Safe in Sport’ campaign. Every child deserves a fun, and positive experience in sport and together, we can create an environment where everyone feels safe, empowered, and supported.”
