Piet Cremers departs Cymru role

The Football Association of Wales can confirm that Piet Cremers has left his position as the Assistant Coach to the Cymru Men’s National team to pursue a new opportunity in Belgium.

Cremers will be taking on the role of Head Coach at Club NXT, the second team for Club Brugge. The Dutchman joined Craig Bellamy’s coaching staff shortly after Bellamy’s appointment as Head Coach in 2024 and is also working on obtaining his UEFA Pro Licence through the FAW’s Coach Education system.

During the last two years Cymru have qualified for League A of the UEFA Nations League and narrowly missed out on this summer’s FIFA World Cup.

The FAW would like to thank Cremers for his work with the Cymru Men’s National Team and wishes him the best for the future.
