Supporter Update: Montenegro v Cymru

Following an announcement earlier this week that the venue for Cymru’s UEFA Nations League match against Montenegro has changed from Podgorica to Nikšić, the Football Association of Wales can confirm that free coach travel will be provided to ticket holders.

The match had been switched due to concerns over the quality of the playing surface at the Gradski Stadion in Podgorica and the FAW acknowledged the inconvenience that this caused for The Red Wall.

Since the change of venue, the FAW has been meeting daily with fan travel organisers, and with their collaboration and understanding, arrangements have been made to ensure Cymru fans with tickets will be able to attend the Nations League match on 9 September.

The FAW has also been in communication with the Football Association of Montenegro and have confirmed that the original ticket allocation will be honoured. The FAW does not expect any additional tickets to be made available.

Those fans who have booked trips through Wonky Sheep, the FAW’s official fan travel provider, or booked one of the fan buses from Budva and Kotor to Podgorica, will be contacted directly by that travel organiser. Further details on the bus collection point in Podgorica will be communicated over the course of the next week.

All ticket collections for the match will take place from the Velveta Conference Room at the Kings Park Hotel in Podgorica:

Sunday, 8 September: Midday to 4:00pm

Monday, 9 September: 2:00pm to 6:00pm

The FAW would like to thank The Red Wall for their patience during this time whilst a solution was arranged to ensure Craig Bellamy and the Cymru squad are supported in Nikšić.
