European qualification via the JD Welsh Cup
With Bangor City 1876 and Rhyl 1879 through to the semi-finals of the JD Welsh Cup, the FAW will be making an application to UEFA for club licensing dispensation for them to participate in European competition should one of the clubs lift the trophy.
To qualify for Europe, both clubs would need to meet the minimum standards set by UEFA to be granted dispensation to participate in the UEFA Conference League for the 2026/27 season.
