UEFA qualifier draws confirmed for MU17s and MU19s

Cymru have discovered their opponents in three age group draws, which took place in UEFA’s HQ in Nyon.

MU17 2026/27 Round 1 draw

Cymru will face the Republic of Ireland, Denmark and Estonia in Group 1. 

The mini-tournament hosts will be Denmark and the full fixture schedule will be confirmed in due course. 

Round 1 mini-tournaments must be played from 1 July to 17 November. The 14 group winners and 14 runners-up qualify for round 2 League A. The remaining 26 teams participate in round 2 League B.

MU19 2026/27 Round 1 draw

Cymru will face France, Switzerland and Hungary in Group A7 following the draw. 

The mini-tournament hosts will be Switzerland and the full fixture schedule will be confirmed in due course. 

In principle, the groups will be played from 23 to 31 March 2026, deciding promotion and relegation ahead of round 2 in the autumn, which will be followed by round 3 the following spring and the final tournament in Czechia in summer 2027.  

MU17 2025/26 Round 2 draw

Chris Gunter’s side will face Georgia, San Marino and Andorra in Group B3. 

The mini-tournament hosts will be San Marino and the full fixture schedule will be confirmed in due course.

Teams in both round 2 leagues will play for promotion and relegation between the leagues ahead of 2027/28 U19 EURO round 1.
