Venues Confirmed for JD Welsh Cup Semi-Finals

The Football Association of Wales is pleased to announce the venues for the JD Welsh Cup semi-finals in March.

Bala Town and Connah’s Quay Nomads will get the semi-final ties under way when they meet at the Essity Stadium – home of Flint Town United – on Friday 3rd March. The game will get under way at 7:45pm and be shown live on Sgorio’s digital platforms, BBC iPlayer and S4C Clic.

The two sides have already met three times this season with the most recent coming in January’s Nathaniel MG Cup final, where Bala claimed a 4-3 penalty shootout win over the Nomads to claim the first silverware of the season.

Penybont will take on the defending JD Welsh Cup champions The New Saints at Carmarthen Town’s Richmond Park the following day, with a 12:45pm kick-kick off. The tie will be shown live on S4C, Sgorio’s digital platforms, BBC iPlayer and S4C Clic.

It will be a repeat of last season’s final which saw Penybont score two late goals but fall to a 3-2 defeat at Cardiff City Stadium.
