Double ticket offer for Cymru WEURO matches

WU17 squad announced for UEFA League A qualifiers

Nia Davies has confirmed her squad for this month’s UEFA WU17 EURO Round 2 League A qualifiers.

Cymru will face Sweden (Monday 11 March), hosts Norway (Thursday 14 March) and Switzerland (Sunday 17 March). The group winners will qualify for this summer’s UEFA WU17 EURO finals which take place in Sweden. Should Sweden win the group, the best runners-up across all groups will qualify alongside Sweden.

Fifteen players from the FAW Girls Academy system have received call-ups. Introduced in 2021 as part of the FAW’s strategy to develop clear and effective pathways for progression, the FAW Girls’ Academy increases the contact time with our elite girls and provides a competitive games programme for them to develop. As well as being part of the Academy, Soffia Kelly, Mared Griffiths and Elena Cole were involved in part of the senior camp ahead of last month’s match against the Republic of Ireland.
