Supporter Information: Romania v Cymru

Supporters travelling to Bucharest for Cymru’s match at Steaua Stadium are advised to familiarise themselves with the following information ahead of match day. 

Steaua Stadium is situated seven kilometres west of Bucharest city centre. Travel by taxi generally takes between 15 and 25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, while public transport via tram or bus from the city centre typically requires around 45 minutes. Walking from the city centre is not recommended due to the distance involved.

The Old Town area, known locally as Centrul Vechi has a wide range of pubs and bars clustered together within walking distance. Facilities closer to the stadium are limited and tend to consist primarily of small local bars. Ticket collection will be near the Old Town at Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest. Find more details here.

Stadium gates are expected to open approximately three hours prior to kick‑off. Supporters should note that re‑entry will not be permitted once they have entered the stadium. Supporters are encouraged to consult the full and detailed list of prohibited items here.

Only small bags are permitted inside the stadium, limited to A4 size. Small personal cameras are allowed, although professional equipment is not permitted under regulations. A free bag storage or deposit facility will be available in the stadium area, however supporters are strongly encouraged to avoid bringing large bags or luggage where possible in order to speed up entry procedures.

Flags and banners are permitted but will be thoroughly checked at entry points. They must be flame‑retardant, must not contain political, offensive, or commercial messages, and must comply with agreed size and pole regulations. Email fans@faw.cymru with any questions regarding this.

All supporters will be subject to searches upon entry to the stadium, with both male and female stewards present. ID’s may be checked on entry to the ground, please ensure you have a form of ID ready to be checked at the stadium.

Within the concourse areas, food and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Both cash and card payments are expected to be accepted inside the stadium.The away supporters’ section will be separate toilet facilities for men and women..

Smoking and vaping are not permitted within the seating areas of the stadium. Designated smoking areas will be located outside the main seating bowl and away from the stands.

Following the match, public transport services such as trams and buses will be the primary means of returning to the city centre.
