
Cymru will face Albania in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup European play-off first round and either Romania or Norway should they progress to the second round.
Each round will be played over two legs. The first round will take place during the October international window, with Cymru away for the first leg (Friday 9 October) and home for the second leg (Tuesday 13 October).
The second round will take place during the November/December international window, with Cymru home for the first leg (Tuesday 1 December) and away for the second leg (Saturday 5 December).
The seven best-ranked round 2 play-off winners according to the 2026 Women’s European Qualifiers overall league rankings qualify directly for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The one remaining round 2 play-off winner qualifies for the World Cup inter-confederation play-offs in February 2027.
