Cymru centurion Natasha Harding has announced her retirement from professional football at the age of 34.
Harding made her senior Cymru debut against Switzerland back in May 2008 under the management of Adrian Tucker, and remained part of the side under successors Jarmo Matikainen, Jayne Ludlow and current manager Gemma Grainger. Making 103 appearances for her country over the course of her 14-year international career, Harding scored 26 goals in the process, and was named FAW Women’s Footballer of the Year in 2016.
During her club career, Harding represented Cardiff City Ladies, Bristol Academy, Manchester City, Liverpool, Reading and Aston Villa. During the qualifying campaign for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Harding scored her final international goal in the 3-0 win over Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan in April 2022 in what was also her 100th appearance for her country.
