
Iwan Griffith has been appointed as the referee for the 2026 JD Welsh Cup Final between Caernarfon Town and Flint Town United.
Griffith will be assisted by Martin Roberts and Connor Thomas, while Ryan Kenny is Fourth Official.
A regular in the JD Cymru Premier, Griffith is a current FIFA Match Official and therefore also officiates club and international fixtures across Europe. This will be the second JD Welsh Cup Final that the 37-year-old officiates, having also taken charge of the showpiece between Aberystwyth Town and Connah’s Quay Nomads in 2018.
Roberts is also a current a FIFA Match Official and JD Cymru Premier regular. This is his first appointment to a Welsh domestic final, after previously officiating in Semi-Final ties in both the JD Welsh Cup and Nathaniel MG Cup.
Despite being just 27 years old, Thomas has been officiating in the JD Cymru Premier for over six years and has also been involved in European fixtures. He was previously Assistant Referee for the 2023 Nathaniel MG Cup Final and 2025 JD Cymru Premier European Play-Off Final.
Kenny is currently in his sixth season as a JD Cymru Premier Referee, but he has also gained experience as Fourth Official in international matches. The 29-year-old was also the Fourth Official for the 2025 Nathaniel MG Cup Final.
