
Cymru will kick off their UEFA Under-19 European Championship campaign later this month as Wales hosts its first-ever men’s UEFA age-group finals tournament.

When and where are the finals taking place?
Cymru will host the 2026 U19 EURO finals across north Wales, with matches commencing on Sunday 28 June to 11 July.
Which group are Cymru in?
Cymru were drawn in group A during April’s European draw and will face nine-time winners Spain, previous winners Germany and Denmark.

Gunter has selected a 20-player squad to represent Cymru at the tournament, marking the nation’s fourth appearance at a men’s intermediate age group finals.

How does the tournament work?
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The tournament also serves as UEFA’s qualification pathway for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be hosted by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
