Appeals Body Decision: UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s Club Licence

The Appeals Body met today (10 April) to assess and consider the appeals submitted as a result of the First Instance Body decisions made for the UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s Club Licence on 27 March 2024.

The FAW received one appeal from Llandudno FC who were refused their Tier 1 Women’s Club Licence.

Llandudno FC were successful in their appeal and have been granted their Tier 1 Licence for the 2024/25 season.

As a result, this concludes the UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s Club Licensing cycle for participation in UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s competitions for the 2024/25 season.

The following clubs have been granted licences:

Withdrawn UEFA Women’s Licence Applications for 2024/2025 season (2 clubs)

FAW Women’s Tier 1 Licence for 2024/25 season (9 clubs)

Barry Town United

Briton Ferry Llansawel

Cardiff City

Cardiff Met University

Llandudno

Swansea City

The New Saints

Wrexham

Refused FAW Women’s Tier 1 Licence for 2024/25 season (1 club)

Pontypridd United
