Arena Projects, a leading event management company, is proud to announce the extension of its sponsorship with the Football Association of Wales of its girls’ growth football initiatives around Women National Team games.
Arena Projects was the first company to sign-up to and support For Her Cymru initiatives in 2023 and continues to reinforce its commitment to promoting and supporting the growth of girls’ football in Wales.
For Her Cymru is an exciting initiative aimed at promoting and developing the sport of football for girls in Wales, encouraging more young women to get involved in the sport and providing them with the opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
The programme is designed to provide girls of all ages with a fun and engaging environment where they can learn the sport, develop their skills, and make new friends around the Women’s National Team games.
Marcus Lawry, Director of Arena Projects, commented: “We’re proud to continue our support for the For Her Cymru initiatives for the second year. We’ve worked with the FAW delivering matchday event services and fan engagement for a number of years and have experienced first-hand the rapid growth of the girls and women’s’ game made possible by investment by the FAW.
“At the top-end this has been evident in the incredible interest in the national team, who’ve accelerated from playing before crowds of around 1,700 spectators just under 3 years ago, to a high-watermark of over 15,000 against Bosnia and Herzegovina – a truly inspirational moment and an incredible opportunity to drive interest and growth in the grassroots game.
“By becoming a founding partner of For Her Cymru, we hope to play a part in enabling this growth and we encourage other companies and organisations to join us in supporting such an important initiative for young girls in Wales.”
Sharon Tuff, Chief Commercial and Engagement Officer, said: “The support from Arena Projects is invaluable in helping us to achieve our goals with For Her Cymru. We believe these initiatives have the potential to make a real difference to the future of girls’ football in Wales.
“With the support of sponsors like Arena Projects, we are confident that we can reach more young girls and provide them with the opportunities they need to reach their full potential.”
The partnership between Arena Projects and the FAW is an exciting step forward for the growth of girls’ football in Wales and will continue to provide a platform for young women to develop their skills and achieve their goals.
