16 teams remain in this season’s edition of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup and there are a host of fascinating ties coming up on Sunday.
All kick-off times are 2pm unless stated. Follow all of the action on the FAW website and Cymru Football app.
Wrexham v Penybont
After causing an upset in the last round, second tier side Penybont travel north to face back-to-back finalists Wrexham.
Bont, who currently sit fifth in the Genero Adran South after winning back-to-back games, took top-flight side Barry Town United to a penalty shootout in Round One. It was Mae Taylor who would score the decisive spot-kick to seal their progression.
If they are to repeat their heroics, Leon Williams’ side will have get past current Genero Adran Premier leaders Wrexham. The Red Dragons are in fine form, having not lost in any competition since the middle of September. They defeated NFA 11-0 in the last round, with Rosie Hughes and Faye Knox both scoring hat-tricks.
Swansea City v Llanystumdwy
There will be a real David versus Goliath matchup at Llandarcy this weekend as Genero Adran Premier outfit Swansea City host third tier Llanystumdwy.
The Swans are three times winners of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup but have not lifted the trophy since defeating Cardiff City in the 2018 final. Yzzy Taylor’s side picked up a 3-1 victory over Aberystwyth Town in the last round, but come into this tie off the back of a 6-0 home defeat to the Bluebirds in the Genero Adran Trophy.

Llanystumdwy are in Round Two of the competition for the second consecutive year, having reached this stage again with a hard-fought 2-1 win at home over Pwllheli; a Manon Evans brace proving to be the difference.
Last year, Llanystumdwy were knocked out by Wrexham, but Sunday will be another chance for them to showcase their abilities against one of the best sides in the country, but Swansea will be hoping to avoid a potential banana skin.
Cambrian United v The New Saints (3pm)
One of the more intriguing ties on Sunday sees Cambrian United welcome The New Saints to Tonypandy.
Cambrian United are managed by Claire O’Sullivan, who led Pontypridd United to the semi-finals last season. This term, she has led the Cam Army to Round Two for the first time in their history – they defeated Fairwater in the qualifying round, before picking up a 5-2 win over Porth Harlequins in Round One.

The New Saints were beaten by eventual winners Cardiff City in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup semi-finals last year, but they kicked off their campaign in this season’s competition with a 10-0 win over Genero Adran North side Bangor, with defender Tiggy Webb remarkably scoring four goals.
Cambrian have former Genero Adran Premier players Ruby James, Lucy Keane and Niamh Duggan at their disposal, and they will certainly know what will be required if they are to beat a side currently fourth in the top-flight.
Carmarthen Town v Pontypridd United
Second tier side Carmarthen Town will pit their wits against top-flight side Pontypridd United.
Carmarthen have adapted well to life in the Genero Adran South following promotion last season, winning four of their opening six leagues games to sit second in the table. They have taken their good form into the Bute Energy Welsh Cup by picking up wins over Llanelli Town and Goytre AFC to reach this stage.

Pontypridd are still yet to pick up a point in this season’s Genero Adran Premier, but cup competitions have provided them some solace and they triumphed 6-1 over neighbours Pontypridd AFC in the last round. There’s no doubting their inform player is Madison Lloyd, who has eight goals in her last six appearances in all competitions.
These two sides have never faced each other before, but with not much separating these two in terms of league positions, it has all the ingredients to be a fascinating match at the LHP Stadium.
Cwmbran Celtic v Llantwit Fadre (4:15pm)
The lowest ranked side left in this season’s competition are fourth tier Llantwit Fadre, and they will be on the road against Cwmbran Celtic this weekend.
Llantwit Fadre currently sit fifth in the SWWGL Division One, but they are on a remarkable run of form – having not tasted defeat since the start of October. They are on an unbeaten run of eight games in all competitions, including a 3-1 win over Undy AFC in the previous round.

Cwmbran Celtic head into this fixture with two strong wins in the league under their belt. Their most recent one in particular against Pure Swansea was another indicator that Georgia Shwartz’s side are ready to battle against some of the country’s top sides. A 19-0 Round One win over Wattsville is how they have reached this stage.
With only three goals conceded in the Genero Adran South, Cwmbran have the meanest defence in the entire Adran Leagues. Llantwit Fadre will know they will have to be at their very best to produce an upset.
