The Football Association of Wales’ (FAW) 2024 FIFA Football International Match Official nominations include two new additions, Charlotte Carpenter and Michelle Portelli.
Rhys Parry has also earned a FIFA nomination and will represent Wales as a Futsal Referee following the retirement of Carl Hughes.
The additions of Carpenter, Portelli and Parry see the FAW’s international panel grow from 14 to 16 match officials.
Theappointment of Carpenter and Portelli also means five women match officials will representCymru on the world stage for the first time.
The new additions follow the introduction of the Adran Leagues Referee Academy in 2023, an FAW programme dedicated to enabling women and girls to excel as match officials.
