Connah’s Quay Nomads striker Max Woodcock wins JD Welsh Cup Player of the Round

Connah’s Quay Nomads striker Max Woodcock has been selected as the Player of the Round for the JD Welsh Cup Semi-Finals.

The cup holders came from behind to win 2-1 against Llanelli Town at Park Avenue as their defence of the trophy continued.

Woodcock was a lively presence in attack throughout the encounter, scoring the Nomads’ equaliser two minutes into the second half which set their comeback in motion. Having been played in by Callum Bratley, the teenager provided a clinical finish past Scott Coughlan.

Connah’s Quay Nomads will now meet The New Saints in this year’s JD Welsh Cup Final at Rodney Parade on Sunday 4 May (KO 16:00).
