Cymru WU17 and WU19 prepare for UEFA qualifiers with friendlies

Cymru WU17 and Cymru WU19 will continue preparations for their upcoming UEFA Euro qualifying campaigns with friendly fixtures in September.

Cymru WU17 will travel to Portugal for three games, starting with the hosts at 6pm on Wednesday 20 September in Massamá.

Nia Davies’ side will then face Denmark in Jamor three days later at 3pm and round off the camp with a clash against Italy back in Massamá at 10am on Tuesday 26 September.

Cymru were drawn in Group B4 for their UEFA WU17 Euro qualifying campaign and will take on Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan and Albania later this year.

Albania will host the mini-tournament, which will be played between 20 and 27 November 2023.


Cymru WU19, meanwhile, will face the Republic of Ireland in a double-header at Colliers Park.

The first fixture will get under way at 3pm on Wednesday 20th September before the second meeting two days later at 4pm.

Nic Anderson’s side were drawn in Group A2 for their UEFA WU19 Euro qualifying campaign, with England, Czechia and Greece.

Cymru will host the mini-tournament, which will be played between 23 and 31 October 2023.
