Cymru’s squad for the 2025 UEFA Women’s EURO has been announced in a distinctive and heartfelt video.

Rhian Wilkinson’s side will aim to inspire the nation in Switzerland this summer, as they get set to make history when they step out for their first appearance at a major tournament in July.

Among those featured in the squad announcement reveal is UEFA Vice President Laura McAllister, a trailblazer and former Cymru captain with 24 caps, who played a key role in the establishment of the women’s national team in 1993.

McAllister’s inclusion serves as a poignant reminder of how the women’s game has grown in Wales, and how her foundational work, supported by others, helped pave the way for this historic moment.

The video highlights supporters of various ages, ranging from children taking their first steps in the game through the FAW’s grassroots programme Huddle to others inspired by the team’s qualifying achievement, reflecting the growing legacy of women’s football across the country.

From the quiet calm of a rural farm to a lively local pub, each scene captures the spirit and pride that surrounds our national team. Now, our nation is ready to celebrate a moment that’s been decades in the making.
