Following the 2-0 win against Kosovo which confirmed Cymru’s place as League B winners in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 qualifying round, Rhian Wilkinson’s side will find out their play-off path in Friday’s draw in Nyon (12:00pm BST).
Here’s all you need to know about the play-off process.
Round 1 (semi-final)
- After winning Group B4 in the qualifying round, Cymru will be seeded for the first round of the two-leg play-off and face a team that finished second or third in League B.
- The potential opponents are Türkiye, Croatia, Hungary, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovakia or Azerbaijan.
- As Cymru are seeded, they will play away first on Friday 25 October followed by a second leg at home on Tuesday 29 October.
Round 2 (final)
- Should Cymru progress, they will be unseeded for the second round of the two-leg play-off and face the winners of a League A v League C play-off path pairing.
- The potential opponents from League A are Sweden, Norway, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Czechia or the Republic of Ireland.
- The potential opponents from League C are Slovenia, Romania, Belarus, Greece, Albania, Luxembourg, Montenegro or Georgia.
- As Cymru are unseeded, should they progress they will play at home first on Friday 29 November followed by an away second leg on Tuesday 3 December.
As well as confirming a play-off place after winning League B in the qualifying process, Cymru have also secured a place in League A for the 2025 UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign. The Nations League draw takes place on Thursday 7 November.
