The FAW is delighted to welcome James Rowberry back to the association following 10 years in the professional game. Rowberry joins as the Head of Elite Coach Education.
Rowberry holds the UEFA Pro Licence and has extensive experience in delivering Elite level coaching courses having been a tutor and mentor on the FAW coaching pathway for over a decade. He will also ensure alignment exists across the entire coaching pathway connecting the critical grassroots game and elite courses to ensure effective transition of coaches.

Dr David Adams, Chief Football Officer, added: “We have a fantastic reputation and tradition for developing coaches in Wales, this appointment enables us to continue to provide cutting edge coaching programmes that reflect the evolution of the game.”
Rowberry also brings a wealth of experience from his time as Head of Academy Coaching and First Team Coach at Cardiff City and more recently as Head Coach at Newport County.
