JD Welsh Cup Final match officials confirmed

Tom Owen has been appointed as the referee for the 2025 JD Welsh Cup Final between The New Saints and Connah’s Quay Nomads

Owen will be assisted by John Bryant and Jordan Christopher, while John Jones is Fourth Official. 

A regular in the JD Cymru Premier, Owen is a current FIFA Match Official and therefore also officiates club and international fixtures across Europe. Having taken charge of two JD Welsh Cup semi-finals in the last three years – as well as being Fourth Official for the final in 2023 – Owen is now appointed as Referee for the final for the first time. 

Bryant is also a current a FIFA Match Official, assisting Owen in multiple European matches. This is his first appointment to a JD Welsh Cup final after being Assistant Referee for the 2024 Nathaniel MG Cup Final and the last two JD Cymru Premier European Play-Off Finals.

Despite being just 26 years old, Christopher has also officiated fixtures at European level – including alongside Owen in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers two years ago. He was previously Assistant Referee for the 2023 Nathaniel MG Cup Final

Jones has been a regular Referee in JD Cymru Premier over the last five years but has also gained experience as Fourth Official in EFL fixtures and UEFA matches. This is his first appointment to a Welsh domestic final.
