The Football Association of Wales today (15 April) announces Pelly as the Official Innovation Partner of the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament hosted in Wales.
This summer (28 June to 11 July), eight of Europe’s best young national sides will compete across four venues in Wrexham, Denbigh, Caernarfon and Bangor. The tournament will also serve as UEFA’s qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Pelly is a Welsh startup founded in 2023 with a mission to help football clubs consolidate their data and make more informed decisions through a single, integrated platform. The company was named ‘Global Startup of the Year’ at the Wales StartUp Awards in June 2025, and has already onboarded several clubs in Europe since their launch in late 2025.
Noel Mooney, CEO at Football Association Wales, said: “Hosting the UEFA European Under-19 Championship is a proud moment for Welsh football, and we want every aspect of it to reflect the best of what Wales has to offer.
“This tournament exists to showcase the next generation of European talent, so it is only fitting that our partners reflect that spirit. Pelly are a young, ambitious company from North Wales, and we are delighted to have them as our Official Innovation Partner.”
Iwan Pritchard, CEO at Pelly, added: “As a football tech start-up from North Wales, we’re immensely proud to be supporting UEFA and the FAW with this tournament on home soil.
“Pelly was built by people who have a background in player recruitment, so identifying emerging talent has always been close to our hearts. Seeing some of the best young players in Europe compete just down the road from our home is something we’re very much looking forward to.”
