Two RedWall+ documentaries have been nominated for the Royal Television Society Cymru Wales Awards that will take place on Friday, 12 April at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.

‘The Forgotten Team’ and ‘The Dragon On My Shirt’ have been nominated in the Digital Original and Production Manager (Factual) categories.
‘The Forgotten Team’ is a beautiful documentary that tells the tale of the overlooked squad of the 1970’s, and how they managed to get to the quarter-finals of the 1976 European Championships.
Through exclusive interviews from the likes of Gareth Edwards, Brian Flynn and Nick Burnell, alongside archive footage from the time, RedWall+ takes a trip down memory lane and relives some of the best, underrated seasons of Welsh football.
This documentary was directed by David Williams and produced by EatSleep Media for RedWall+.
The Forgotten Team
‘The Dragon On My Shirt’, directed by Vicky Morton, aims to drive change by tackling racism and amplifying the stories of Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse Cymru players.
There are five thought-provoking episodes, presented by Darren Chetty, that features Eddie Parris, George Berry, Wendy Reilly, Safia Middleton-Patel, Nathan Blake, Rob Earnshaw and Neil Taylor.
The series explores the experiences of some of the racially minoritised footballers who have represented Cymru over the years.
Alex Ashman (EatSleep Media) has been nominated for his role as Production Manager on this RedWall+ documentary series.
The Dragon On My Shirt
Two RedWall+ documentaries were also nominated for RTS Cymru awards in 2023 – ‘Celf Crys Cymru – The Art of the Wales Shirt‘ and ‘Building The Red Wall.‘
