UEFA Under-19 EURO: Group stage permutations

The group stage of the UEFA Under-19 EURO comes to a close this weekend, with plenty still to be decided across both groups.

Semi-final places, FIFA U20 World Cup qualification and top spot are all on the line as the final round of fixtures takes place, with Group A concluding on Saturday before Group B wraps up on Sunday.

Sunday’s fixtures in Group B are equally important.

Italy will book their place in the semi-finals with a draw against Ukraine, while victory would also see them finish as group winners. However, if Italy lose and Croatia beat Serbia, the Italians would instead drop into the FIFA U20 World Cup Playoff match.

Ukraine have already secured a semi-final place and only need to avoid defeat against Italy to finish top of the group.

Croatia know a draw against Serbia will be enough to secure a place in the FIFA U20 World Cup Playoff match, while a win could even take them into the semi-finals, depending on Italy’s result.

For Serbia, only a win will be enough to reach the FIFA U20 World Cup Playoff match.
