As Cymru prepare for their UEFA Women’s EURO play-off Final against Rep. of Ireland, the Football Association of Wales (FAW) is continuing the heart-warming fan initiative “Breichledau: For Her,” encouraging supporters to show their support through the creation and exchange of friendship bracelets.
Inspired by global trends, made popular by Taylor Swift, which emphasise connection and fan solidarity, the “Breichledau: For Her” campaign aims to foster a deeper bond between fans and the Cymru squad.
Fans will have the chance to participate in this special initiative by bringing their homemade bracelets or by creating them at a bracelet-making stand located inside the Cardiff City Stadium.
Cymru Captain Angharad James said: “The ‘Breichledau: For Her’ initiative represents the togetherness that is so integral across the game. We want to inspire a future generation of footballers and celebrate the support of the fans who stand behind us. It’s a special way to bring everyone together in this crucial moment.”
Ahead of Cymru v Slovakia, Cymru fans joined the‘Breichledau: For Her’ bracelet-making station, which added an extra touch of unity and camaraderie on match day and we hope to see more at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday.
