32 teams remain in this season’s Bute Energy Welsh Cup and there are a host of fascinating ties this weekend.
All kick-off times are 14:00 on Sunday 23 November unless stated. Follow all of the action on the FAW website and Cymru Football app.
Llangefni Town v Llandudno
Despite being in the third tier, Llangefni Town have had plenty experience this season facing sides in the Genero Adran Leagues.
Having been granted a wildcard place in the group stage of the Genero Adran Trophy, Llangefni finished third in Group 4. They suffered narrow defeats in their two opening games against Bangor and Llanfair United but did pick up a solid 4-1 win at home to Flint Town United in their final game.

In the qualifying round, the Anglesey-based side got revenge on Llanfair by defeating them 1-0 away from home thanks to a second half winner from Amber Brown, who already has 13 goals to her name in all competitions.
Opponents Llandudno currently sit third in the Genero Adran North but were defeated by newly promoted Berriew in their last league outing. The Seasiders earned a 2-1 comeback win over Connah’s Quay Nomads in the previous round.
Flint Town United v Wrexham Foresters
This is Wrexham Foresters’ first season of existence, and they’ve wasted no time in making an impact, especially in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup.
The Foresters have had to come through two qualifying rounds to get to this stage of the competition. In their first game, they picked up a huge 17-1 victory over Buckley Town; a game which saw former Connah’s Quay Nomads forward Kirstie Kural score eight goals.

Then, in the final qualifying round, the newly-formed side defeated Genero Adran North outfit Felinheli 4-2 at home. Wrexham Foresters have won all eight of their games this season in all competitions, scoring 85 and conceding just six in the process.
Sunday will see them face a Flint Town United side who are contending at the top of the Genero Adran North and won 4-2 over Kinmel Bay in the previous round of the cup. Having not lost in the league yet, Flint will be the toughest side Wrexham Foresters have faced in their existence.
Pontypridd United v Pontypridd AFC
There’s nothing quite like a derby in the Welsh Cup, and Sunday will see two Pontypridd sides go head-to-head.
For Pontypridd United it has not been a season to remember so far. They are bottom of the Genero Adran Premier without a point to their name. However, they did pick up their first win of the campaign against Llanelli Town in the Genero Adran Trophy two weeks ago.

It’s been a mixed campaign so far for Pontypridd AFC. With eight games played in SWWGL Division 1 (tier four), Ponty sit eleventh in the table with two victories and six defeats. However, they go into Sunday off the back of their first league win since mid-October, which came over Cardiff Wanderers.
Sunday will be the first time these two teams have ever met, but who will take local bragging rights come full time in Treforest?
Cardiff City v Cardiff Met
Two of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup’s most successful teams will write a new chapter in their rivalry on Sunday.
Current Genero Adran Premier champions Cardiff City are aiming to become only the second side in the history of the competition to win it five times in a row. The Bluebirds head into Sunday’s contest having won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions and certainly look in ominous form.

Cardiff Met themselves are three-time winners of the Bute Energy Welsh Cup and are finding their feet in the Genero Adran South. A young Archers side are top of the table, and won 21-0 over Ystrdgynlais in the last round of this competition, but suffered a shock home defeat to Llanelli Town last weekend.
When it comes to this competition, it’s been the Bluebirds who have come out on top in recent memory. Iain Darbyshire’s side knocked Met out in the semi-finals in 2021-22, before defeating them again in the final a year later.
Ammanford v Briton Ferry Llansawel (16:00)
The late game on Sunday sees third tier Ammanford welcome Genero Adran Premier outfit Briton Ferry Llansawel.
In the ever-competitive SWWGL Combined League, Ammanford have had a good start to the campaign. Having played six games, they have 13 points to their name and have scored an impressive 40 goals in the league alone. Ammanford are another team who have come through two qualifying rounds to get to this stage, defeated Pontarddulais Town in their first game before also going through against Caldicot Town.

Briton Ferry themselves have some strong history in this competition. When they were a Genero Adran South side, they reached the final where they were ultimately defeated by Cardiff City. However, having been there once, an experienced Ferry side want to get back to the showpiece event sooner rather than later.
These two have never met each other before, but both have plenty of danger players. For Ammanford, Rhian Evans has scored 19 goals in eight games, while for Ferry, Meg Kearle has five goals and eight assists to her name.
