Cardiff City Stadium confirmed for EURO play-off semi-final

Cymru made history in October 2022, when 15,200 fans attended the 2023 FIFA World Cup play-off semi-final against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The Cardiff City Stadium will host the second leg of Cymru’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 play-off semi-final against Slovakia on Tuesday 29 October (KO 7:15pm), with tickets on sale from midday Monday 22 July with an early bird offer available for fans.

Cymru last played in Cardiff in December 2023 and will be looking to match the support seen at the stadium in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup play-offs, where a record crowd of 15,200 saw Cymru beat Bosnia & Herzegovina in the semi-final.

The Red Wall plays a key part in Cymru’s games and Rhian Wilkinson hopes to see the fans out in their numbers for the play-off semi-final. “It will be my first match at the Cardiff City Stadium, and I’ve heard so much from the players about how great the atmosphere was for the World Cup play-off match a few years ago.”

“The fans in Wrexham and Llanelli over the last few months have been incredible and we hope to grow that even further in October. The Red Wall gives us that extra edge and play a huge part in our story as we look to make history and reach our first major tournament.”
