
Cymru concluded their 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro qualifying campaign by topping Group B4.
Goals from Jess Fishlock and Mary McAteer secured a 2-0 victory over Kosovo on Tuesday and saw Cymru finish the qualifying campaign with an unbeaten record, ensuring they will be seeded in the play-offs.
It has been an impressive first campaign in charge of the side – filled with records broken and historic milestones reached – for Rhian Wilkinson, who was appointed as head coach in February.
We take a look back at the key numbers from the qualifying campaign.
0 – Cymru went through the qualifying campaign unbeaten with zero defeats as they recorded four wins and two draws in six games.
1 – Ffion Morgan netted her first goal for Cymru in the 6-0 win over Kosovo and Mary McAteer scored her first goal in the reverse fixture at Parc y Scarlets.
2 – Safia Middleton-Patel made her first competitive start at home against Kosovo to earn her second cap.
3 – 17-year-old Mayzee Davies made her senior debut in the away victory over Kosovo and went on to make three appearances in the qualifying campaign.
4 – Jess Fishlock finished as Cymru’s top scorer in the qualifying campaign after netting four goals.
5 – Rhian Wilkinson named five different captains (Sophie Ingle, Jess Fishlock, Angharad James, Hayley Ladd and Ceri Holland) for the six games in the qualifying campaign.
6 – Cymru’s biggest win of the qualifying campaign saw them score six unanswered goals against Kosovo.
7 – Seven players (Soffia Kelly, Elena Cole, Mared Griffiths, Ania Denham, Amy Richardson, Cadi Rodgers and Tianna Teisar) received call-ups to the senior squad for the first time in the qualifying campaign.
18 – Cymru scored 18 goals in the qualifying campaign, more than any other team in League B.
21 – Rhian Wilkinson fielded 21 different players in the qualifying campaign.
45 – Jess Fishlock became Cymru’s all-time record goalscorer by netting her 45th goal in the home victory over Kosovo, moving ahead of Helen Ward.
150 – Jess Fishlock chalked up a historic milestone in the away win over Kosovo as she earned her 150th cap for Cymru.
