Cymru fans during a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Belgium

More than 1,100 members of the Red Wall will be travelling to Astana for Cymru’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan on Thursday 4 September. Whether you have been on away trips before or are part of the travelling Red Wall for the first time, here’s everything you need to know to make your match day smooth, safe and enjoyable.

Ticket Collection and Stadium Transport

A full ticket collection will be in place for this match from the Hilton Garden Inn in Astana. The collection room will be situated on the ground floor and open 12pm-4pm Wednesday 3 September and 11am-4pm Thursday 4 September.

A voucher exchange will be used for this match. Each ticket holder will have a ‘voucher’ – these will be delivered to the lead booker through the Cymru Tickets app. It is recommended that the lead booker transfers these vouchers to each ticket holder, however, if collecting at the same time, these vouchers can remain on one device.

Cymru fans are advised to arrive early on match day as stadium gates will open two hours before kick-off. Ticket holders are eligible to take the buses provided by the FAW to arrive at the stadium and will return supporters after the match has finished. Bus timings and location will be sent to fans through the Cymru Tickets app.

Stadium Guidelines

Entry to the stadium will be granted upon presentation of a valid match ticket. There is no requirement to show identification at the turnstiles.

Supporters should be aware that the stadium has strict regulations on prohibited and permitted items. Large bags and professional cameras will not be permitted, smaller bags will need to be checked prior to entry. All visitors will be subject to body and bag checks on entry, and both male and female stewards will be on duty to carry out these procedures.

Flags are permitted as long as they are in line with UEFA guidelines and are smaller than 2x1m. Any flags larger than this will need to be approved by the FAW prior to entry. Please email info@faw.cymru with a picture of your flag and its size in feet.

Catering will be available for visiting supporters, offering food and non-alcoholic drinks. Alcohol is not on sale in the stadium in accordance with local legislation. Both cash and card payments are accepted at the venue.

Facilities for away fans will include mobile toilets positioned outside near the visiting sector, with three designated for male use and one for female use. Smoking and vaping are permitted only outside the stadium and are not allowed within the seating areas or concourses.

Supporters are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the stadium rules ahead of the match to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
